  2. REMINDERS • Period 6: Warm-ups please • Bring textbook and Antigone study guide every day. (You’ll loose points for not having textbook.)

  3. STANDARDS Reading 3.2 Compare and contrast the presentation of a similar theme or topic across genres to explain how the selection of genre shapes the theme or topic.

  4. ANTIGONE • Adversity sets in when she is caught breaking one of these laws in order to obey the other; she faces harsh punishment for her choice. • As we read this play, pay particular attention to the characters, to the setting, to the themes, to the minor characters, to the conflict and to how it might compare to what Richard Wright experiences in Black Boy. • Each day, instead of a warm-up, you will be answering one of the questions on your Antigone Study Guide.
