What are the remaining unknowns and uncertainties and how do they impact our fundamental understanding of the atmosphere, climate change, weather and society in general?

General Description of Topic Theme and Objectives of the Topic Working Group Topics 1-5: Science Summary of the key scientific issues related to the topic and what objectives the working group plans to meet in their evaluation. Topics 6-11: Measurements Summary of key measurement issues related to the topic and what objectives the working group plans to meet in their evaluation.

  4. Presentation Layout (Suggested) General Description of Topic Theme and Objective of the Topic Working Group Brief Status of this Topic (if applicable) after the July, 2010 workshop (see BAMS article) Summary of the key points from the workshop the outstanding issues and recommendations.

Presentation Layout (Suggested) General Description of Topic Theme and Objective of the Topic Working Group Brief Status of this Topic (if applicable) after the July, 2010 workshop (see BAMS article) What progress has been made in the last three years? Summary of relevant publications, field projects, conferences, etc. that show what new information has come available. Topics 1-5 should focus more on the scientific progress and Topics 6-11 on progress in the quality of measurements and data sets.

Presentation Layout (Suggested) General Description of Topic Theme and Objective of the Topic Working Group Brief Status of this Topic (if applicable) after the July, 2010 workshop (see BAMS article) What progress has been made in the last three years? What are the remaining unknowns and uncertainties and how do they impact our fundamental understanding of the atmosphere, climate change, weather and society in general? This will drive the working group discussions at the meeting.

  7. General Guideline Remember to try and keep a balanced perspective from the three viewpoints of modeling, remote sensing and in situ measurements. Keep in mind that each topic presentation will be a chapter in a monograph. Relevant references are important: Published, in press, in preparation, meeting proceedings, etc.
