GOALS TO ACHIEVE • Register with engage Intel. • Join different groups on teachers community. • Design objectives using Bloom’s Taxonomy. • Design Certificate • Generate action plans • Create 6 productivity tools • Two on MS Word • Two on MS Power point • Two on MS Excel • Use hyper links. • Upload all your work on Intel engage community

  5. GOAL The main goal of the training program was to train the teachers on new and improved pedagogy, and on the importance of integrating the use of ICT in education. The training primarily focused on the application of 21st century skills to teach students in today’s classrooms, and on adoption of a more student centered approach in education.

  6. Sessions also focused on the importance of key 21st century skills like collaborative problem solving, critical thinking and the use technological software like : • Ms- Word • Ms-Excel • MS-Power Point

  7. Moreover, the participants learnt the method of using Internet based applications like opening email address, using email address, using search engine to gather information from Internet

  8. OBJECTIVE • On the last day of the training the participant teachers were asked to present their Action Plans in order to demonstrate what they have learnt from the training and how they plan to implement the new approaches in their classrooms.

ExampleStudent Objectives/Learning Outcomes • Students will: • Brainstorm and discuss prior knowledge of cells with the class • Review and develop and understanding of life process of organisms and the function of cells. • Compare and contrast animal and plant cells. • Analyze and evaluate the importance of each organism function. • Create a visual representation of a cell • Present project 

  10. Curriculum-Framing Questions • Essential Question • How do living things survive? • Unit Questions • How do life processes contribute to an organism’s survival?

  11. Bloom’s Taxonomy and Action Plan • Action plans are based upon higher order thinking i.e. Bloom’s Taxonomy. • Encourages students • Requires higher order thinking skills. • Implication.
