Benefits • Simplifies network design and management by increasing the bandwidth capacity of legacy fiber optic networks. • Multiplexes up to eight 1000Base Gigabit Ethernet-compliant inputs onto a single fiber pair. • Aggregates full duplex traffic from four GBIC inputs onto each fiber strand which allows for redundancy in equipment and physical fiber routes. • Consolidates traffic from multiple fiber pairs onto single fibers which eases congestion and reduces facility management.
