  7. WHAT KIDS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT STROKE With my age group most of us don’t know what a stroke is and If we educate them on the fast message and explain to them what it is we just might save a life.

  8. WHAT I DID NOT KNOW • Before my nana joined the stroke foundation I did not know what a stroke was and if my nana or poppa had a stroke I probably would not know what to do so I think that we should teach my age group what it is so if in the future they might be able to save there nana and poppa mum or dad from dying from a stroke.

  9. WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A STROKE • Call 111 its simple but who would know to do that with a stroke because most of my age group would not know what to look for. • AND TIME IS PRECIOUS

  10. Who knows • 2 months ago I was at school and I asked all my class if they knew what a stroke was. About 40% said it was a heart attack and 60% said they did not know [ year 9 students] • I guess the message is that we need more education in high school

  11. Who it affects • The myth is it is an older persons illness but in fact it can happen to any one. • [my nana runs a hydro group at the pools and the age range of the people in the group is 3 to 85 years old] • And as you can see age has no barrier and that’s where people misunderstand who may be affected by stroke
