  1. Smart Grid Wireless SolutionsEnd-to-end Smart Meter/Grid solution, specifically designed to meet the demands of Utilities and their customers “Last-Mile” connectivity needs June 2010

  2. Introduction • MTR Established in January 2009 • The founders, with more than 30 years experience in the industry have a clear understanding of what utilities need to make smart meter/grids deployment a reality. • The Smart grid market set to grow to more than 12 billion by 2013 • The market is crowded with players only a handful have developed last mile connectivity solutions. Last mile communications technology is largely confined to that based on MESH networks and the adaptation of existing PLC, & RF, WiMax & ZigBee technologies. • MTR solutions based on fixed two-way RF communication • Each individual endpoint, with our without external power source, can be managed and controlled from the remote administrative center. • MTR technology, delivers unequalled cost-benefit ratios when compared to competitive MESH solutions

  3. January 2009 to Date • MTR is Introducing • A full range of end-to-end products for our target markets enabling MTR to service a top-tier Water, Electric and Gas utilities needs. • MTR has Established • Regional representation in key covering UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Rumania, Southern Africa and USA. • MTR is Extending • Its global network of partners in key markets • MTR isSet • To license its technology to global market leaders in the meter and control application industry, for integration in Smart Grid, water/gas/electric meter and control applications.. • MTR is poised To become a major player in the global Smart Grid solutions market

  4. MTR in a nutshell What do we do? • We provide unique “Last-Mile” two-way communication and SW operating platforms for the Smart Grid market set to reach $1.8 Billion by 2013 • What makes us unique? • Our communications protocols & two-way wireless end point management & control technology. For applications without external power a twenty year operational battery life can be expected under normal operation • What are our advantages? • Our advanced protocol & wireless technologies enable; 100% gird coverage, • smart data access, sophisticated management tools, together with an unequalled communications link-budget. All at deployment & operational costs that deliver better cost-benefit ratios than those of currently available multiple RTU systems.

  5. Technological Edge MTR communication protocol & two-way wireless technology: • Delivers 10 times more data at the same data rate when compared to competitive MESH protocols • Requires current consumption a 1/10th of that typically required by competitive MESH protocols. • Requires reduced infrastructure supporting two-way data communication • Enables the remote monitoring, command & control of every end point [Meter] in a grid, [real 100% connectivity – the ability to remotely control a valve or switch at every end point in the grid. • A single MTR RTU [Remote Terminal Unit] can serve both the utilities and consumers multiple electrical, water, gas & HAN needs.

  6. Operation Overview

  7. MTR Smart Grid Applications

  8. Value Chain - Vertical Integration Opportunities

  9. MTR Positioning • Where we are at? • First generation product development is complete & second generation is at planning stage. • Where we are going? • We have generated requests from both water & gas utilities for pilot deployments the first of these is scheduled to commence in Sept 2010. At stake are the deployment of 9 million connectivity units with the attendant networking support. • Our Vision? • The cost benefit ratios inherent in our technology are set to drive MTR technology into a leadership role in the industry by 2013. • MTR is open to all partners & technology: • We welcome the opportunity to partner with industry leaders around the world. • Meter/Control manufacturers, Planners, consultants, • Utility Service industries
