  2. What is flooding? Flooding is were a creek, river, sea, etc. rises and overflows onto land that is usually dry.

  3. What are the conditions? • Heavy rain • Melting of deep snow • Frozen ground

  4. How long do floods last? • Floods can last up to weeks at a time it just depends on how much it rains or how much snow there is to melt

  5. What time of year does floods occur? • Most happen in the spring because the snow is melting and it rains a lot in the spring.

  6. What kind of damage can a flood do? • Floods can cause irreparable damage to houses, cars etc. • Floods can make houses calapse • I also can cause roads to tear apart

  7. Interesting facts • A car can be taken away in as little as two feet • In the last 10 years flooding has cost the U.S. $2.9 billion dollars • Flooding is the most common natural disater in the U.S • There are very few places you don’t have to worry about flooding
