What is Literacy in Dance? • Confluence of content knowledge, experiences, and skills merged with the ability to read, write, listen, think critically, and perform in a way that is meaningful with in the context of dance. • In other words it is using texts, and writing, and speaking in combination with dance.

  3. Crayola for Educators This is a great website for teachers looking for ideas for elementary school children. There are over 150 lesson plans. 6. One of my favorite websites. There are tons of teaching videos and lesson plans available. Specifically, there is a teaching dance through creative movement. That is wonderful for 9th-12th graders. It combines movement with Edgar Allen Poe’s poem, “The Bells” https://www.teachingchannel.org/

  7. Social Justice Freedom through education. Opprotunity to realize your potential in our society no matter your sex, income, race, or sexual orientation. http://www.ijea.org/v11n6/v11n6.pdf This website connects to the very interesting article below. Moving Social Justice: Challenges, Fears and Possibilities in Dance Education The image to the left is the cover of a powerful book about social justice and dance.
