  1. How to Wash Dishes

  2. Step 1: Prepare the water. Make sure you use the warmest water possible. Add dish soap and the water will be ready to begin dish washing.

  3. Step 2: Prepare the dishes.-To avoid polluting your sink of water, begin by scraping the dishes of excess foodand then rinsing them.-Stack the dishes in preparation for washing. -Tough stuck-on foods in pans and baking dishes must be soaked first before washing.

  4. Step 3: Wash the lightest soiled items first. Wash the heavily soiled cooking equipment last. 1) Glasses and cupsfirst to keep your water fresher and ready to tackle bigger jobs. 2) flatware, plates, bowls, and serving dishes. Keep an eye out for when you should change the dish washing water. 3) cooking dishes/utensils. Any tough food should have been soaking already, making this dish washing go more smoothly. Wash the pans thoroughly. REMEMBER to clean the bottoms of pans.

  5. Tips: • Dishes wash easily if you keep them under the water while scrubbing them. Particles lift away. Bring the dish out of the water to check for missed spots. • Stacking a few dishes in the sink at a time allows dishes a few minutes of soaking time while you work on washing another dish

  6. Put all flatware in the dish water at once • Wash each one under the water • Rinse under running warm water and place in drainer • Never put just washed dishes/flatware down in the rinse side of the sink

  7. Step 4. -Rinse the dishwashing suds and residue from the dishes. -Use the second sink to rinse of the dish washing suds from the dishes under warm running water. -Place the rinsed dishes in the dish drainer so that excess water can drain into the sink and make drying easier.

  8. Step 5: Dry dishes. If you've used the right water temperature, the dishes will dry quickly on their own. In some instances, you may have to use a dish towel. Make sure the towel is clean. Change the towel when it becomes damp.

  9. Step 6: Put the dishes to the side of the drainer so they can be put away -Dry the sink, dish drainer, and dishpan. -Put the dishcloths and towels in the washing machine after your unit inspection
