  2. Artist Bio Roxsanne Rarick is a first year Advanced Photography student at El Camino High School. Her project for this year is fashion themed. She uses a digital Canon Powershot camera and likes to shoot outside. She hopes to continue photography in college at Chico State University.

  3. Artist Statement I believe that clothes say a lot about someone and can almost tell a story. My goal is to capture and create a story with each shoot I do. My future goal is to be able to share all of my photographs to allow others to form their own stories from my art and make their own unique interpretations based on what they see. I start my project with a model and I try to match them with clothes that suit their body type and personality. I use different models, clothes, and makeup to show a spectrum of fashions. I always shoot outside usually mid-afternoon and take at least 100 pictures within the 3 hours from as many angles as I can. I fix the images in Camera Raw, print at Costco, then mount on black board. Like I said earlier, my inspiration for my work comes from a specific model’s look or the clothes they wear Every time I do a shoot I don’t just think about the clothes, but I do think about the model and what emotions they are expressing in each shot and how that portrays the clothes. When I work with the models I have to remind myself that I need to make the shots relatable to the people that would normally find these clothes appealing in order to engage my viewers.
