  2. Shelter The Cherokee lived in the woodlands and were part of the Iroquois League. They had winter houses and summer houses. The winter houses were made out of logs. Both houses had plaster walls.

  3. Resources Their resources were wood, stone, and animals. They used wood to build houses, the stone for weapons, and the animals for food and clothing.

  4. Artifacts and Weapons Bows and arrows Blowguns Spears Hatchets Tomahawks Flint Knives

  5. Beliefs The Cherokee, like many other tribes, believed that the world had to be kept at a balance.

  6. Clothing Cherokee men had animal hide tops and leggings. Cherokee women had wrap around skirts. Both men and women wore moccasins.

  7. Cherokee Today The Cherokee tribe today has more 314,000 members.
