  2. CARATTERISTICHE GENERALI • I sostantivi maschili e femminili escono al nominativo singolare in -us • I sostantivi neutri escono al nominativo singolare in -u

  3. SOSTANTIVI IN -US (maschili e femminili) Le desinenze sono le seguenti: SINGOLARE PLURALE NOM. -us -us GEN. -us -uum DAT. -ui -ibus ACC. -um -us VOC. -us -us ABL. -u -ibus

  4. SOSTANTIVI IN -U (neutri) Le desinenze sono le seguenti: SINGOLARE PLURALE NOM. -u -ua GEN. -us -uum DAT. -u -ibus ACC. -u -ua VOC. -u -ua ABL. -u -ibus RICORDA SEMPRE CHE I TRE CASI DIRETTI DEL NEUTRO HANNO LE DESINENZE UGUALI

  5. LE PARTICOLARITA' • Alcuni nomi della IV declinazione presentano le desinenze del dativo e ablativo plurale in -ubus anzichè in -ibus • arcus,us (arco) →arcubus • lacus, us (lago) → lacubus • tribus, us (tribù) → tribubus

  6. IL SOSTANTIVO DOMUS

  7. Ricorda inoltre che il sostantivo domus presenta il locativo domi che significa sia “in patria”, sia “in casa” e frequente è l'espressione “belli domique” che significa “in pace e in guerra”.
