  2. Class Objectives The class is designed to provide students with the following: • An effective environment for homework and studying • Help with organizational and study skills • Accountability for academic coursework

Student’s Responsibilities • Come to class on time. • Bring necessary supplies and a book to read in case you finish your homework. • Get organizer signed each day by teachers (Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science). • Print out your grades on POG every Monday. • Get your grade print-out signed by your parent by every Wednesday. • Spend the class time doing homework, studying, or reading educational materials. • Complete any additional homework at home. • Try your best!

  4. Please do this: • Check your child’s organizer daily. • Read and sign a grade print-out each week and have your child return a copy to me every Wednesday. • If your child’s weekly grade print-out shows any missing work, be sure your child completes it and turns it in as soon as possible. • Provide the best possible study environment at home. • Stay in contact with teachers of academic courses. • Stay involved. Support your child. Provide rewards and consequences for the choices your child makes.

  5. Weekly Schedule Monday: Print out grades on POG Wednesday: Return grade print-out to me with parent signature Friday: Detention (accumulated min. for missing signatures) Weekend: Missing work catch up

  6. RULES & DISCIPLINE RULES • Be seated at the start of the class • Listen respectfully and raise your hand to speak • Do not ask to leave the classroom unless you have an emergency • No eating, drinking (except for water), headphones, or cell phones in class CONSEQUENCES Violation of the above rules in the classroom will result in the following:  First warning  15-min. lunch detention  Call home and 30-min. lunch detention  Office referral/ conference
