  3. International Technical Consultation on ‘Positive Prevention’ • April 2009, Tunisia, UNAIDS & GNP+ • 50 participants, more than half of participants were people living with HIV • New concept of Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention

  4. What is Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention? • A shift in thinking designed and led by people living with HIV • Holistic and comprehensive approach to HIV prevention with people living with HIV • Emphasis on supportive legal and policy environments • Leadership of people living with HIV

Regional consultations • Asia-Pacific region, Indonesia, August 2009 • Embraced concept of Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention; concern with issue of ‘dignity’ and how it translates in the region • International francophone community, Morocco, March 2010 • Recognition of the importance of ‘treatment as prevention’ within the concept

  6. Consultation with PEPFAR agencies • Strategic meeting October 2009 • Consultation between GNP+, UNAIDS, PEPFAR agencies (USAID, Department of Defence, CDC) • Identified opportunities for collaboration, including the development of the framework on Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention
