Things to Think About • 16th Amendment - The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. • Article I. Sec. 9. Ever wonder where your money goes?Here is a short list… • The stimulus plan allotted $400,000 to The National Institutes of Health to cruise six bars in Buenos Aires to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior while drunk – and just what can be done about it. • $3.4 million was allotted to the construction of a 13-foot tunnel near Tallahassee that will allow turtles and other wildlife to safely cross U.S. Highway 27. • $30 million for wetlands restoration that protect, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse. • $2.6 million to make sure prostitutes in China consume less alcohol while working. • $2 million for swine odor and manure management. • $200,000 was allocated to the task of tattoo removal.
