  1. Do Now- Page 45 What specific objects you see in this image? Example: women in dresses What time period and where do you think this image takes place? How are the people on topand bottom of this image interacting with each other? What do you think this image represents? Hint: Think about society, classes, and working conditions of the Industrial Revolution.

  2. Announcements • Paste your new Union Contract on page 44 (this is the worksheet I handed out with the blank lines to fill in) • Quiz on Friday! Use your notebook to study. (Last quiz of the term) • Last notebook check of the term is on Friday. Be sure to pass in your notebooks! • Use class website and master notebook as a guide.

  3. Class Activity- Round Robin • Get into your groups • Examine placard as a group and fill out the web with information about the reform movement. • 5 minutes per placard (20 mins total) • Share out as a class(10 mins)

  5. Processing- Page 45 • After today’s activity, write the following in complete sentences: • 3 issues that were resolved during the progressive era. Explain what actions/events/laws made a change. • Make 2 connections to today. What improvements from these reforms still exist today. (i.e. Laws for education, worker rights, etc.) • 1 issue that you feel still needs more improvement.
