Asis AdvancedTCA Class Fan Tray Fan tray is a component responsible of supplying sufficient shelf cooling According to the Parameters send from the shelf manager either via direct Lines or Communication. Asis fan trays are designed according to the Picmg 3.X Specifications. It’s design enables Asis shelf to exceed the Atca cooling specifications detailed in the Picmg Atca 3.x spec. Asis uses state of the art Delta Fans for cooling the shelf, all the fans are Controlled by the Shelf manager and have an integral Tachometers for Closed loop monitoring.

Bottom fan trays • Side to side The Picmg Atca 3.X Spec recommend The cooling Approach front bottom to Back top As shown in the picture

Angular fan placement limitation Design for balanced and aerodynamic air flow Adopt a system approach - Chassis and blades Control the air flow distribution per customer configuration.

  4. Asis AdvancedTCA Class Asis 2U-5U horizontal chassis have one vertical fan tray. Asis 12U horizontal chassis have two vertical fan trays. Asis 12U vertical has four fan trays. The fan trays are designed with N+1 redundancy to meet the cooling Requirements Of A full shelf, furthermore in the 14 slots vertical there are four fan trays which Backup one etch other, incase of a signal fan fail all the fans in the fan tray go to full Speed and incase of communication lose between the shelf manager and on of the Fan trays the rest of the fan trays will go to full speed to compensate. In case of single fan failure, the remaining fans provide the required cooling To Dissipate the heat generated by the occupied slots. It is recommended to replace the Fan tray as soon as possible. The fan tray is factory-mounted in the Shelf. It is easily replaceable, and can be Replaced while the shelf is operating.
