GHS Wizard Features • Ability to use GHS substance classifications within the WERCS to calculate mixture classifications and author a GHS MSDS • Ability to self-classify substances/mixtures • Wizard to assist in physical hazard classification • Ability to set up various GHS formats based on country specific requirements

  3. What is available today • A wizard that uses Purple book SDS format and UN hazard classification guidance. • Includes all UN proposed categories • Contains classification for about >28,000 substances

  4. What is available today • Hazard Classification for substances converted from Annex 1 using EU guidance for conversion • Also conversions from EU classification done by Danish Authority using EU guidance for conversion

  5. What system does today/ what is available • Uses converted EU Substance classification and ties various purple book mixture rules to create a product level evaluation for health and environmental hazards • Physical classification must be done manually due to reliance on product level data; however wizard allows product level data entry to assist in classification

  6. Coming Attractions • Extend SDS Format • As countries implement regulations, country specific GHS formats • Possible ability to use Japanese classifications (1500) to create Japanese GHS SDS
