What is The Partnership? • New global health partnership • merger of 3 existing partnerships • Launch in September 2005 • with a focus on people • to coordinate efforts toward achieving MDGs 4 and 5 "This is a major effort, and no one agency can do it alone. What does The Partnership do? • Support country-led efforts in accelerating universal coverage of essential interventions • Advocate for increased political & financial resources and commitment for MNCH • Promote the development & adoption of evidence-based, cost-effective interventions • Measure & evaluate progress on agreed outcomes "To accelerate progress, we need to integrate our efforts at the global, national and community level."
