When air reaches the extract, it vaporizes it and hence, smoke is formed. After the heating chamber there is a small chamber and spring connected to it which acts as a passage for the vapor. The use of the spring is that it keeps the pen in a tight position. If the spring were not present the herb would be loosely kept and the vaporization of it would not be so efficient. Filters are then attached after that to further purify the smoke. At the top most part, there is a rubber mouth piece. This is the part from which you can inhale the vapor. Rubber is usually used because it is non- toxic. There are also different materials used for smoking which can be based on what type of vaporizer you might want to use. The benefit of using a dry herb vaporizer is that it becomes very easy to clean. A brush with fiber bristles is available by which you can clean the chambers in a few simple strokes. However, there is also the concern of portability. Usually oil vane pens are easy to carry as oil requires less space and can be filled without much problem. Furthermore, there are many funky designs available and you can choose a pattern that you like.
