Los gránulos pericromatinianos e intercromatinianos son resultado del “splicing” o maduración del RNAm Envoltura nuclear La “maduración” o “splicing” del preRNAm o RNAhn (heterogéneo nuclear) por medio del corte de intrones y el empalme de exones se lleva a cabo en las fibras pericromatinianas (FPC).   Como resultado de este proceso se obtiene un RNAm maduro que forma los gránulos pericromatinianos (GPC).
