  2. Digestive System • Food moves through it • Food grounded and mixed with digestive liquids • Food goes through mouth and enters esophagus • Afterwards the stomach and then enters the small and large intestine • Exits through anus

  3. Liver • Large organ above and in front of the stomach. • Filters toxins from the blood. • Makes bile and some blood proteins.

  4. Stomach • Muscular organ that is attached to esophagus. • After the food has entered it is churned in a bath of acids and liquids.

  5. Esophagus • Food enters it through the pharynx. • Lets food pass through to the stomach.

  6. Gall Bladder • Pouch shaped organ that accepts bile from the liver • Stores bile • Releases bile into the small intestine when food is digested

  7. Pancreas • Produces pancreatic juices • Produces hormones like insulin, and enzymes • Helps pass on food to the small intestine

  8. Small Intestine • Protects body against any infections • Protects body against secretes intestinal juices

  9. Large Intestine • Absorbs water and salts • Helps in the excretion of solid waste material
