CSES Talent Show • If Mrs. Porter does not receive the signed permission slip at the bottom of this form by Wednesday, May 29th, students will NOT be allowed to audition!!! • Dear Parents of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Comanche Springs Elementary, • It is time again for students to audition for the annual talent show at CSES! Please read this letter carefully and return the bottom portion of this page to Mrs. Porter no later than May 29th to grant permission for your child to audition. Auditions will take place during their expressions block on May 29th and 30th in the fine arts room (154). There will be a dress rehearsal on June 3rd at 1:30PM, and the talent show will take place on June 4th at 8:00AM. • Criteria: • Student acts should be a maximum of two minutes in length. • The student is responsible for providing their own props, costume, and music on a CD (please, no iPods, mp3 players, phones, or flash drives). • If singing is the talent, the music provided MUST be the karaoke version (backup vocals are acceptable, however, it would not be appropriate for the student to “sing along” with the original artist). No a cappella acts will be accepted. • Acts must be MEMORIZED and well prepared by the time the students audition. • If two or more students plan to participate together, ALL parties must have their own permission slip signed and returned before they audition or they will not be considered. • Acts MUST be school appropriate. • Please sign below and return to Mrs. Porter by May 29th to let her know that your child intends to audition for the talent show.
