Nova Gorica is a new town, built in 1948 • Inhabitants: 31.911 • Vrtec Nova Gorica • 7 departments • 665 children, age 1 – 6 years • 130 employees • Day or half-day programs with 3 meals • 6.30 – 16.15 (20.00) • National Curriculum – 6 areas of activities: movement, language, art, nature, society & mathematics • Rates: • age 1 – 3 years: 511 € // age 3 – 6 years: 370 € Pre Primary School Vrtec Nova Gorica

  3. Partnership Great Britain: Hull France: Bordeaux Italy: Lerici Ciprus: Nicosia Slovenia: Nova Gorica Children age = 1 to 6 years

  4. Project aims To look at the environment of each partner’s countries. To compare results and to find ways to encourage Communities to change the way we treat our Earth. To help children to learn about the climate changes and to observe how their actions will affect the future. Walking and visits are integrated into the project activities.

  5. Goal If our children and their families will make just one change in their lifestyle toward environmental conservation, then our partnership will have achieved its goal!

  7. OBJECTIVES Children learn through their own experience the importance of water. Learn to have an economical and respectful attitude for water. Raise awareness off the importance of preventing water pollution. Children are realizing problems of water pollution.
