  2. DATA, DATA, DATA • Shady Spring Elementary has been a PBIS school for 5 years. Each year when reviewing our data the cafeteria has been an area of concern.

  3. MAKING IT WORK • Involving cafeteria workers in reward process • Reflection tables in place of time-out area • Flower pots as a visual reminder • Hallway display of classes achieving their monthly goal

  4. Getting the Children Involved • A flower pot and flowers were given to classroom teachers • Each student had the opportunity to design and color 2 flowers • Classes designed their flower pots

  6. CRITERIA FOR EARNING FLOWERS • Teachers reviewed the Cafeteria “Code of Conduct” with students • Students must be, Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Prepared

  7. CRITERIA

  8. REFLECTION TABLES • Students that do not follow the “Code of Conduct” are asked to sit at a “Reflection Table” • Primary students are asked to draw a picture or write what happened • Intermediate students are asked to do a written reflection of why they were asked to sit at the reflection table • Reflection sheets are given to classroom teachers
