L 2 ÁMBITO: General Portadora L2 situada en la banda L de emisiones electromagnéticas, es la señal secundaria radiada desde los satélites de la constelación NAVSTAR, con una frecuencia de 1227.60 MHz Sobre ella se modula el código P. La portadora L2 permite eliminar el retardo ionosférico producido en la señal, por comparación con la portadora L1, en los receptores bifrecuencia.
