Surge Protection From Over Voltage

Surge protection minimizes the risk of damage from lightning strikes, voltage and power surges by blocking or redirecting unwanted surge currents to earth. But, it needs to be paired with a lightning protection system. Regardless of the type of electrical disturbance, our manufactured and patented surge protection devices can protect your companyu2019s power supply, minimize downtime and safeguard your investment. LEC is known for patented products and professional services. Know more about us here: https://www.lightningprotection.com/<br>

  2. Lightning Surge Protection Lightning Surge Protection Surge protection minimizes the risk of damage from lightning strikes, voltage and power surges by blocking or redirecting unwanted surge currents to earth. A surge protector by itself can’t guarantee your facility from a surge caused by a direct or even a nearby lightning strike but when it is paired with a lightning protection system you have the advantage of both types of protection. www.lightningprotection.com

  3. Lightning Surge Protection Lightning Surge Protection A surge protector is connected to a conductor on the line side of the equipment. The protection is also connected to ground and functions by routing energy from an over-voltage transient to ground if one occurs while isolating the conductor from the ground at normal operating voltages. • For example, by installing a surge protector between the utility lines and your electrical panel, you limit the amount of lightning surge voltage that’s able to come in the form of external wiring. From here the surge protector between the electrical panels and the connected electronics will clamp down and divert even more voltage that finds its way into the electrical system. www.lightningprotection.com

  4. Lightning Surge Protection Lightning Surge Protection • Different types of SPDs • Type 1: permanently connected SPDs installed between a service transformer and the service equipment over current device line and load side. • Type 2: permanently connected SPDs installed on the load side of the service equipment, including SPDs located at the branch panel and molded case SPDs. • Type 3: Point-of-use SPDs installed at a minimum conductor length from the electrical service panel to the point of use. www.lightningprotection.com
