  3. Thailand Status Thailand had ratified United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in December 1994, and ratified Kyoto Protocol in August 2002 Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning CD4CDM 19 October 2005

Thailand CDM’s Policy • The Cabinet will give final approval for the operation of CDM project case by case; • Contribute to National Sustainable Development Plan; • Technology transfer and capacity building; • Gives priority of benefits to local community; and • The first phase of CDM will give priority to CDM in the Energy Sector and the 2nd phase is under consideration.
