  2. Topic & Theme ~This Virtual Field Trip will identify who discovered Antarctica, as well as when they discovered it.

Learning Standard ~Grade 6 New York State Social Studies: Standard 3 – Geography • Geography can be divided into six essential elements which can be used to analyze important historic, geographic, economic, and environmental questions and issues. These six elements include: the spatial terms, places, and regions, physical settings, human systems, environment and society, and the use of geography.

  4. Student Outcomes Students will be able to: -explain how and when the first people discovered Antarctica. -describe where Antarctica is located on earth.
