  2. Where is Camp Jolt? • Location- Pottsboro, Texas 75076 • Distance- 103 miles north east of Watauga • Total Travel Time is about two hours

  3. How will we get there?

  4. What time will we be leaving and returning from camp? • Students will need to arrive to school Wednesday, March 20th at 7:00 am. • Buses will be leaving at 7:30 • Students will leave camp Friday, March 22that 3:00 and will arrive back at school between 5:00-5:5:30 • All students must be picked up from Watauga Elementary upon arrival from camp.

  5. Camp Items your child will need • A small suitcase/ overnight bag • Sleeping Bag or Twin Sheets and a Pillow • Basic Toiletries and clothing for three days • Tennis Shoes • Flashlight * A more detailed list of necessary items will be sent home prior to camp.

  6. Item NOT to bring to camp! • Cell phones • Electronic device • Cameras * We will be taking pictures throughout camp and they will be available on DVD.

  7. Activities Your Child Will Participate In • Owl Pellets • Hike/Monkey Bridge • Fossil Hunt • Animal Tracking • Entomology (Study of bugs) • Digital GPS Scavenger Hunt • Birding Data Collection • Macro-Invertebrates • Star Party • Night Hike/ Camp Fire • Birds Of Prey

  8. How much will camp cost?

COST There will be approximately 103 students attending Camp Jolt this year. • Camp Price Per Student $132 • Transportation is approximately $3,000 Our campus thinks attending Camp Jolt is important enough that we have committed to fundraising to pay for the cost of transportation, as well as, extra camp activities and a souvenir camp DVD.

  10. Fundraising • We have several fundraising events planned that will help pay for transportation and extra camp events, etc. Fundraising Ideas • Parents’ night out • Popcorn Fridays • Jeans for J.O.L.T. (Watauga Staff) • 5th grade carnival booths • And many more…….

Payment Options • You may pay for camp in full by October 15th by check or cash. • To help make it easier for you to pay for your child’s camp tuition, we are breaking up the cost of the trip into 4 easy payments of $33.00. • 1st payment due October 15th $33.00 • 2nd payment due November 15th $33.00 • 3rd payment due January 15th $33.00 • 4th payment due February 15th $33.00 Total Camp Cost $132.00

  12. SCHOLARSHIPS Unfortunately, this year, there will be no scholarships awarded due to limited funding.

  13. CAMP JOLT COMMITMENT • All commitment cards are due by October 2nd. • Camp Jolt HAS to have a student count by October 5th. • Camp tuition must be paid in full no later than March 1st. • Refunds will only be given to students who move to another school. • Refunds will NOT be given to students who don’t attend camp due to discipline.

  14. How can I contact my child in case of an emergency? • Call the school • Prior to our camp departure , parents will be given a cell phone number where teachers can be reached at any time in the event of an emergency. • You can also call directly to Camp Jolt

  15. Student Mail • Please take the opportunity to write your child an encouraging letter. These letters will be passed out Thursday night to students around the camp fire.
