  4. Business Changes • Corporation = business owned by stockholders • Monopolies form • Andrew Carnegie (steel) • John D. Rockefeller (oil) • J.P. Morgan (bought failing companies)

  5. International Impact • Industrialization increases need for raw materials • Non-industrialized countries were not viewed as equal • Need for raw materials encourages colonization & imperialism • Asia & Africa still based in agriculture
