  5. Requirements Benefits to being an Officer Use lessons earned Broaden knowledge and experience Learn new skills without hurting take home pay Practice presentation skills Practice team building skills Work with individuals from other companies Leadership training Leadership institute training

  10. Recruitment Recruitment is an on going process Don’t wait until needed Every officer should be looking for a replacement Special committee for recruitment Part of directors position Look for people with special talents Get them involved in something Set up a new committee if necessary

  14. Retention Buddy system Develop performance measures Have scheduled BOD meetings Have an agenda Have each BOD member participate Report on their Goals and objective Have discussion on some topics Team culture

  15. Retention Match the candidate to the position Place candidate in position they want Empower the individual Needs a feel ownership Keep them involved with the decision making of the chapter Don’t overwork individuals Have fun!
