  9. Dhol is a favourite folk instrument of Punjab. The Dhol is a traditional North Indian instrument made from a large wooden shell. Each side of the Dhol has Goat Skins covering the open ends, one for the bass and one for the treble. The skins are laced together with one piece of cotton rope threaded through the edges of both skins .It is extremely loud and is played with sticks made from cane.A ‘must’ at every celebration!
