  3. I. How to read for the key idea in a sentence? • Ask who or what the sentence is about; • Ask what the person or object is doing, or what is happening to the person or object; • Separate details (when,where,why,what kind) from the key idea; • Use basic sentence patterns and relative grammar.

  4. 1.Key idea: The thought that information is stored (or: goes into a computer) is unsettling. 2.Main idea: Establishing residency was easy for me.
