  1. MY DREAM HOUSE By: Wong Yirui

  2. Music Room • The music room is soundproof which means you can blast the volume level to the highest and not disturb any neighbors. Also, external voices like chatters and screaming will not affect the quietness inside the room. There are many different kinds of instruments here such as piano, drum set, guitar, and double bass. Music stands and shelves are also provided. There is a sofa where you can rest on when you are feeling tired. The music room is a comfortable place for people to enjoy music during their free time.

  3. Exercise Room A flat-screen TV on the wall, benches, a small table to place items such as a water bottle, weight-lifting gloves and entertainment things. If there is a closet, store mats for floor routines and other equipment inside. There are two treadmills, weights, trampolines; exercise bikes rowers, stair steppers and elliptical machines can be found in the exercise room. This room helps to balance a healthy body and diet.

  4. Dining Room • The dining room has a large table, two armed end chairs at the end the table and dining chairs along the side. This is for the family members to eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a chandeliers hanging on the ceiling.

  5. Kitchen • The kitchen has 4 stoves, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, grill and many different kinds of pans. There are also 3-4 sets of fork, spoon and knife and a very big freezer. It also has a washing area. I prefer to use sliding doors for the kitchen because it is easier to move and handle. You can cook food here and serve it into the dining room. Mixers and blenders are also available to make fruit juices.

  6. Living Room The living room is at the main entrance from the door. It has many furniture like couch, sofa, chairs, small tables, curtains, sectional mats, armchairs and a 45-inch TV. The soft sofas and couches are meant for children and adults who just get home from work and are exhausted. There is also a DVD player, a stereo, speakers (to listen to good music) and shelves to put CDs and DVDs. All the family members can use this room, such as when they are watching a movie together or discussing about family matters.

  7. Study Room The study room has many bookshelves to put books, desks, chairs, computers and table lamps. There are also many different kinds of snack and drinks so that the person in the room can have a break. The whole family can use the study room, either for business purposes or casual activities such as playing computer games. Also, there is a coffee and juice maker.

  8. Swimming Pool • The swimming pool has the biggest area in the house. Family members can swim in the pool during their free time as a way of relaxing and exercising. It will be too dull and boring if there is only an exercising room. • You have to clean the water everyday or else it will get dirty. There is a mop next to the passage so that if the floor gets to wet, you can wipe the floor to avoid slipping. Last but not least, inflatable balls, swimline giant inflatable swans and crocodiles and swim boards can be used for children and adults in the family.

  9. Bathroom(1), (2), (3) and (4) All the bathrooms in the house have sinks, bathtubs, showers, toilets and racks to put towels. They also have large mirrors and drawers to put lotions, shampoos and other things. Bathroom 3 is the largest among all so it has more shelves and drawers. All the people in the family use the bathrooms.

  10. Closet The closet is for the master bedroom. There are many clothes, shirts, sweater and socks in the closet. Drawers are below the closet so you can put jewelries and other accessories. This closet is suitable for couples or parents of a family.

  11. Car park( Garage) • It is a garage where cars are stored. Family members can ride the car and go out to places. It is very essential and convenient.

  12. Bedroom (1) This is a master bedroom for couples to sleep in. It has a large bed, a Television, hanging chandeliers, LED lamp, photo frames of beautiful sceneries. The floor is covered with soft mattress so its give people comfort. There are also closets, cabinets and wardrobe. Lastly, the master bedroom is for people who own the house, they will feel very relax staying in it.

  13. There are shelves, cupboards, wardrobe, drawers and tables in the room. The size of bedroom 2 and 3 are suitable for children living in the house. The walls are decorated with photo frames and posters, and are all painted in colors, depending on the child’s like. Bedroom (2) and (3) • X box and other electronic devices are in the room, for entertainment (playing video games). Most importantly, the pillows and blankets in the room must be made of very soft materials like wool and cotton, so that children can have a good night sleep.

  14. Storeroom • The storeroom is a place to put luggage, exercising equipment and unnecessary things. All the family members in the house can use it. I prefer to use sliding doors for the storeroom because it makes the person easier when he or she is entering the storeroom, and will not knock on other objects.

  15. Passage • The passage is surrounding the swimming pool. It is meant for people to walk on.

  16. Difficulties I encountered many difficulties when I was doing the project. First of all, I didn’t know if I should start making the scale or plan the design of the house. It was hard for me to begin as I wasn’t sure where to begin. But then, after thinking for a while and asking my friends, I figured out that it is better to just design the layout of my dream house. However, I had another problem. I was stuck when I was designing the house. I didn’t know how to organize my rooms and had to erase some of the drawings that I just did. Therefore, I drew the sketch roughly and began making changes afterwards. It worked out as everything was clearer and more systematic.

  17. Scale • When you read a map, you can use the measured distance on the map to calculate the actual distance on earth. For example, 1 cm: 100km This makes mapping easier as you don’t have to draw a 100km+ map. • pH scale is also used to measure the level of acid and alkaline.
