  4. Grid Chasing and QSL's and LOTW You will send a receive more QSL cards on six meters than any other band. If you want a QSL card then send an SASE with your card. Remember the other guy probably does not need your card. DM33 and DM43 are not rare grids. LOTW works OK for six but it could use better tools for grid hunters.

  5. Antennas Almost any antenna will work on single hop and multi-hop E's on a good day. A dipole or anything horizontal is better than a vertical. Most low band antenna's will work to some degree. There are various 3 and 4 element antenna's that will turn with a TV rotor and look much the same as a TV antenna. Serious antenna's begin with M2 6M7 – 26'9”

Frequencies and Modes 50.00 to 50.080 beacons, beacon list on net 50.080 to end of band- CW RTTY/ digital modes not permitted below 50.100 Moon bounce/ meteor scatter 50.275/300 K1JT Joe Taylor/ WSJT/WSPR/FSK441/JT65 50.100 to 50.300- ssb/ normally below 50.250 FM repeaters there are 5 or 6 six in range of Phoenix. www.azreapeters.com Old commercial radios can be programed to be used on six FM cheap.   7. Beacons and other Indicators 50.000 to 50.080 beacons list on net. 50.125 listen!! /sometimes talk TV Carriers out of UA/VK/ZL Musica 46 to 49 mhz South America.
