  1. Spectral Monitoring and Analysis of Laser Welding Sergei Morozov, IMPIT-2006 Supervisor Birgitta Martinkauppi autumn 2007

  2. Laser weldingEmission spectrum High power laser (such as CO2 gas laser) is used to melt materials and weld them together. Emission of excited atoms of high-temperature plume can be registered by spectral camera and used to examine and analyze properties of welding process.

  3. Processing spectra Hot plume spectrum is a superposition of several ions’ emission spectra. By analyzing this spectrum and comparing it to simulated sample spectra with instrumental correction we can detect specific ion emission, temperature, laser beam condition and so on.

  4. Spectrum Analyzing tool One-pixel mode

  5. Thank you for your attention!
