  5. Training for competitive exams on the campus Conducts coaching programmes for– • Management Aptitude Test: Programme during July to November for December Exam 2. Bank Test – Evening Batch conducted for P G students. 3. UGC NET Coaching for Arts and Science Paper I for both Arts and Science streams.

  6. Civil Service Coaching Programme • Programme to train the students to attend Civil Service Prelims, conducted in collaboration with Civil Service Institute Pala. • 32 students in Senior Batch and 24 in junior batch • Programme include a stay in camp of 3 days • Faculty include renowned academicians from Service, Retired Civil Servants, Eminent Professors in service and retired. • Excellent Library facility provided.

  7. Training for competitive exams off the campus • St Thomas College Kozhenchery • St Thomas College Trichur • Vimala College Trichur • Henry Baker College, Melukavu • Government College Nattakam • Employment Guidance Bureau, MG Uty KTM

  8. Library and Reference section • Library having 720 books • Section for model and old question papers of various competitive exams • Allows outsiders also to use the facilities. • Reference section is open from 9 am to 7pm

  9. Self financing Courses College offers courses in BSc and MSc Biotechnology, BSc in Microbiology, MSc in Biochemistry in self financing mode. Also offers BLISc and MLISc. All formalities relating to sale of application, fee collection, correspondence with the University, issue of mark list, preparation of T C and C C, disbursement of salary for faculty etc are done in this office.

  10. Berchnet (Internet Facility on campus) • Internet cafe with 30 systems, color laser printers & Scanner • Working time from 9.30 to 6.30 • Students use this facility for preparation of assignments, seminars papers and downloading study materials. • Students use this facility for online applications to higher studies and job opportunities. • Allows students to browse @ Rs10/Hr. Last year collection from Café was Rs 1,62,880.

Hardware and software maintenance • Wi Fi Campus • College is having an inventory of about 400 PCs, 35 Laptops and 22 LCDs. • Hi Band Internet connection 1:1 (Leased line 2mbps Connection) • National Mission of Education – 12 Broadband unlimited 512 Mbps connection available • Departments are networked. • Campus Net software is used • College Website www.sbcollege.org and Departmental websites www.depts.sbcollege.org are maintained and updated regularly. • Web server, internet server and campus net server are maintained. Digital library infrastructure is also taken care of by Hardware section of the College.
