Youtube video only. • 6 questions on benchmark. • Homework: • Ch. 4 and assgn. Due on block. Know ethos, logos, pathos= benchmark terminology • EAP ESSAY TEST ON Wed/THURSDAY! REVIEW OLD ESSAYS!

Take out old essays, worksheets. • Evaluate how you need to improve • Worksheet for EAP!!! • VOC. LESSON: B OR d • Give benchmark sheet • Homework: • Finish ch. 4/assgn. Due on block • FINISH IN CLASS WORKSHEET • Prepare for Benchmark by studying sheet; it’s on next week on block • EAP TEST IS ON BLOCK! WRITE AN ESSAY IN 45 MINUTES!

EAP ESSAY • IN INTRO: • HOOK, LEAD INTO AUTHOR’S NAME • TITLE OF PIECE IN INTRO. • HIS POSITION, WHAT HE’S ARGUIING • DO YOU AGREE? • BODY PARAGRAPHS: • 1-2 great reasons per paragraph with solid evidence from books, movie, history, important people.’ • 3 reasons=3 cds. • Don’t write less than five paragraphs. • Write neatly!!!

Block: • EAP ESSAY TEST! • Entry due • pg. 455 • Read Chief Joseph’s speech and answer questions following it. • You will have six questions on this speech regarding ethos/logos/pathos • The purpose of the speech, a line that shows his desire to stop fighting, motifs that come up and what they show. • Homework: • Voc. Test • Ch.5 for next week by March 27. • Benchmark in one week!!!
