One memo should be addressed to the employeer and the other to the employees. Notional Hours 12 Topic Specification: BF409.05 Drafting own writing and editing for improvement Learning Activities Assignment Description Topic assessment criteria Use Multi media WHAT • The assessor will observe and confirm that learners: • Are able to revise, edit and format text to improve clarity and correctness • Are able to use different layout options appropriate to the nature and purpose of the text • Are able to improve the logical sequencing of ideas through redrafting A group exercise where learners edit existing workplace documents, change the layout of a document to improve it and make a fieldtrip to a newspaper printing and editing facility Self Study Field visit Collect Information Media search Interview experts Attend lectures HOW Group Discussions • Provide learners with the same unedited material, including various types of technical and professional documents. Learners should: • edit the work for technical correctness • critically review evidence that supports the arguments • adjust the visual layouts to enhance the messages • Learners, working in pairs, are required to edit each other's work, identifying problems and proposing solutions.
