McCartney/China 2010McCartney Park —Artists for Peace • Historical world leaders from centuries past, today’s world leaders, performing artists committing to making a difference, and children of the world who are wiser than their years--all joining hands animatronically to inspire and teach us how peace can be realized. • Extraordinary photo opportunities with “living” artists and world leaders who will actually converse with those coming to the McCartney Park. • Original music composed by children from 100 countries with a unique and touching perspective on peace performed live and animatronically. • An IMAX theater presenting “Beyond the Great Wall” and narrated by Sir Paul McCartney with other theaters presenting original short films themed with peace and hope produced and directed by young artists and future leaders from countries worldwide.
Peace Park Details-- Two city governments are both offering sites for a spectacular park with the world's finest sculptors commissioned to artistically depict their vision of peace with one artist representing each country----either through sculpture or painting. Proposing that Sir Paul invite the world’s top performing artists---”A” list singers and actors—to participate. We would work with Great Wall Society, Beijing Central Government as well as participating artists to get all of the foregoing personalities featured animatronically in the McCartney Park – Artists for Peace
The Peace Park….con’t Participating artists would all make a one to three minute statement for peace and it would be immortalized in an extraordinary animatronic likeness of the artist--guests to the park would hear and see the artists and political leaders animatronically. It would be an attraction of utmost importance and immensely educational and inspirational!Once the animatronics are done with the sculpts of the artists and politicians, it would cost very little to duplicate the entire collection of animatronic figures in similar Peace Parks in major cities throughout the world supported by various sponsors and local, state/provincial, and national governments.
Powerful entertainers and world leaders making the peace park a reality For the participating artists, it would be a tremendous honor to be included as a world spokesman for peace in the McCartney Park – Artists for Peace. Most artists would be willing to pay for their own sculpt and animatronic likeness to have an additional copy to tour with them and share the message of peace in their concert tours collectively seen by millions of people.Their individual animatronic figures could also be programmed to perform as well----again, immensely entertaining and inspirational.China can utilize a significant portion of the park to educate all coming to the Park on China's contribution to peace historically and their commitment to peace in the future.Artists and Great Leaders coming together to offer musical diplomacy! Animatronics by Sarcos who have done animatronic figures for Jurassic park, Disney, and Universal for over 25 years—100-200 animatronic world leaders, famous performing artists, and children will be featured in the McCartney Park– Artists for Peace
We are Already working with U.S. and Chinese companies to produce “legend” performing artists animatronically. Add absolutely life-like sculpts to the mechanics and the Legends are brought back to life as well as enabling any one of today’s top touring groups to be in London, LA, and Shanghai on the same weekend………

Accomplished thus far… • Extensive meetings regarding the concert being included with a major international peace initiative sponsored by the Great Wall Society. • Meetings with Dong Yaohui and Han Guowei, leaders of the Great Wall Society as well as the District and City governments and the past Governor of Heibei Province for their collective and unconditional support. • Han Guowei and other Great Wall Society leaders are have met with essentially every embassy in Beijing inviting the Ambassadors of approximately 100 countries to a Great Wall Peace Forum. Proposing that this Forum and series of related events be included with the concert—working to extent this to 2010. • We’re hoping to involve Paul in a voiceover in a Great Wall IMAX film themed for world peace. • Meeting with Jiang Hong for access to CEO of CCTV who controls all broadcasting in China Objective: determine sponsorship options and justification for and structure of government funding. • Meeting with BBDO, DDB, and OmniCom Asia Pacific, all in Shanghai regarding sponsorship from SASAC firms as well as international broadcast and sponsorship rights.
A work in progress…. • Meeting with CIIC to determine sponsorship potential with SASAC companies. CIIC is $1b+ HR company servicing all of the SASAC companies ($1.3 trillion in assets). AC Seymour worked fulltime with CIIC for almost two years. • Meeting with Shanghai officials for McCartney sponsorship by Expo 2010 May lst to Oct 31st next year with 70 million visitors expected. • Meeting with Olympic Committee and CITIC to determine options, costs, and stadium seating and other details • Meeting with Zhang Hengli, manager of CITIC Consortium Stadium Operation Company and/or Yang Weiying, deputy general manager. • Meeting in Beijing with Ben9 to review their proposal for management of concert and supplement Ben9’s proposal with other Chinese promotion/concert management firms if required • Meeting with two major PR firms in Beijing for their international publicity proposal. • Meeting with Minister of Culture’s office.
Making the vision a reality…. • Meeting with Minister of Culture’s office. • Follow-up meetings with Attorney in Beijing whose firm handled all the Olympic sponsorship contracts • Potential for simulcast ---would be accessible to over 700 million viewers via Chongqing Satellite TV and CCTV. Meeting with 5 Continents Television Corporation (5CTV) as well as CCTV while there. • Meeting with Mr. Xie, Mayor of Badaling along with Vice General Secretary and General Secretary of Great Wall Society for Central Government Funding of the concert if held at Great Wall. • Meetings with District Government in Shanhaiguan to determine details for guarantee for China broadcast rights.
To Summarize what makes this an unprecedented world Event— -A Paul McCartney Concert Series in Shanghai, Beijing, and the Great Wall-The IMAX Great Wall film narrated by Paul McCartney -The alliance with the Great Wall Society “to stretch the Great Wall right around the world in people's imagination, joining people everywhere in peace” ---with Paul McCartney as the International Ambassador for the Great Wall Society. -World leaders, legendary entertainers, and inspired children hopeful of a better day—all featured animatronically with their messages of peace seen and heard around the world in the McCartney Park—Artists for Peace (the lst in China and others to follow in selected international locations). • One of many options includes scale models of the Wall in public parks in participating countries with messages of peace inscribed on the individual bricks by literally millions of children from those countries. • Another program being considered is to establish shadow student governments in universities and high schools in participating countries to deal with national and international issues and give their common sense, considered and unbiased solutions the publicity they deserve. This would set the bar for professional politicians and lawmakers with the public benefiting from the scrutiny and open dialogue the student shadow governments would provide. National polls and national news would compare the politicians solutions with the students solutions daily---and the people would vote daily. Works on American Idol. Political agendas versus fresh, honest problem solving from high school and college students.
