  1. DISCOVERY EDUCATIONStudent Progress Monitoring

Progress Monitoring • You will be given progress monitoring in Reading, Math, and Science. • Each progress monitoring is about 45 minutes • Your teacher will use the results of your progress monitoring to help you be successful in mastering the benchmarks and obtaining proficiency on FCAT 2.0 (Reading, Math, and Science) or EOC (Algebra 1, Biology 1, and Geometry).

  3. Before Testing • You will need the following items: • Computer • Access Code to log in to Discovery Education’s system • Your teacher will give you this code • Reference Sheets • Grades 5-8 Math, Algebra 1 & Geometry, or Periodic Table • Scrap Paper for Math and Science to work the problems • 4-function calculator for Math/Algebra (Grades 7-12) • Scientific calculator for Geometry (students may use their own) • Pencil

  4. Tips for Taking the Test Make sure you… • Do your own work • Respect others • Don’t take the same test twice • Don’t ask for help in answering any test questions • Try to answer every question • Check “Question List” to see that you ANSWERED all questions

  5. How to Log in to Discovery Ed • To go to the Student Login Screen, you will need to click on the link or icon that is located on the computer desktop • http://assignments.discoveryeducation.com

How to Log in to Discovery Ed • You will need to… • Enter the Access Code • Your teacher will provide you with this code • Type Your First and Last Name • DISREGARD the statement that reads “If you are 13 years old or younger do not use your actual name. Ask your teacher for a screen name to use.” • Click the “Login” button

  7. Start the Test • You will see the following screen, find your name in the list and click on your name to take the test

  8. Start the Test • You will see this screen • To START the test • Click on “here” OR • Click on the Question Number to start the test

  9. Student Name and Test Name Test Item Make sure to click on the bubble next to the answer you want to choose Question List– list will show “Answered” next to questions that you have answered Reset Answers – this will reset ALL answers on a page

  10. You could have more than one question per page

  11. Reading Test hasQuestions 1 – 32 Math Test hasQuestions 41 - 70

  12. Finish the Test • DO NOT click “FINISH” until you… • Click “Question List” to see which questions you have Answered • Check your answers and try to answer every question • IMPORTANT -Once you click “Finish,” you will not be able to go back and check/change your answers
