  9. Heavy w/Water cont. • Equipment may not be unloaded immediately and the Contractor is responsible for all costs associated with the transport until the equipment is unloaded and the transport is released. The transport may be retained at the incident for the sole purpose of transporting the equipment that was originally ordered; the minimum daily guarantee will be paid until the transport is released. • Documentation must be provided when the transport is not released immediately; this must be documented on the shift ticket and in the Incident Action Plan. If there is no Incident Action Plan (i.e., smaller incidents) approval by the Incident Commander is acceptable. If the contractor elects to keep the transport at the incident location after it is released by the government, no payment will be made. • IF THE TRANSPORT IS RETAINED BY THE INCIDENT FOR TRANSPORTING OTHER EQUIPMENT, THE COMPANY OWNING THE TRANSPORT MUST HAVE AN EXISTING, OR AN AT-INCIDENT EERA, AND MUST BE ORDERED WITH A SEPARATE RESOURCE ORDER NUMBER. THE POINT OF HIRE WILL BE THE INCIDENT.

  10. Refrigerated Trailers National Solicitation 2010 • All regions agreements hosted by R6. • Solicitation closed 5/3, not yet awarded. • Changes Include: • Clarified mileage payment c. Work Rate (Mileage) - Shall apply when equipment is under hire as ordered by the Government, and being mobilized/demobilized from an incident. Round-trip mileage for both mobilization/demobilization shall be paid if the equipment is delivered, and transport returns to the point of hire. This is customary practice for equipment such as toilets, tents, and trailers which usually remain stationary upon arrival at an incident.

  11. Crew Carrier Buses • National Solicitation • Hosted at NIFC • Regional DPLs • Currently under Protest • Very likely R6 will be extending current bus agreements for 2010 fire season.

  20. Strike Teams • Will be solicited late May, early June • Five like engines with Strike Team Leader (STEN) • Order when overhead is needed, and not available • If Agency strike team leaders are available, order five engines

  21. Tenders • Type 1 Tenders were solicited • Type 3 – 1000 – 2499 gallons • Type 2 – 2500 – 3999 gallons • Type 1– 4000 + gallons

  22. Engines • Type 6 Engines – 150 to 399 Gallons • Type 5 Engines – 400 to 749 Gallons • Type 4 Engines – 750 to 1500 Gallons • Type 3 Engines – 500 to 1500 Gallons

  24. Employees • Process is the same as 2009 • Inspected 20% returning employees • 100% on promoting employees and new employees • Employees are passed in the associations’ databases • Passed in federal I-TEAM

  25. New Generation Fire Shelters • Required for vendors January 1, 2010 • Some vendors have ordered this spring • Distributors has back orders • Will ship late May • Letter to Vendors

  26. Chippers • Equipment comes with Two Operators • Use equipment’s operators • Chipper vendors have more people available • Need to be ordered • Not engine crews / twenty-person crews
