  1. ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF ORAL ADMINISTRATION OF RUBY GUAVA, SWEET GUAVA, AND BANGKOK GUAVA FRUIT JUICE ON MICE VASCULAR PERMEABILITY Psidium guajava L. is one of traditional plant used for medication. The previous study has been reported that the extract of Psidii Folium can be use to treat dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF). An abnormally haemostatis may occur in DHF, and it can lead to hypovolemia or hypotension, and in severe cases, result in hypovolemic shock that can cause death. The aim of this research is to know the effect of Psidium guajava L. fruit on mice vascular permeability. From the past research, it’s known that there is a substance that can decrease the vascular permeability which is known as quercetin. And it also known that in Psidium guajava L. fruit contains quercetin. So it is expected that Psidium guajava L. fruit can decrease mice vascular permeability and this effect was investigated on acetic acid-induced vascular permeability method by Ozaky. The Psidium guajava L. fruit was formed to juice, in order to get an oral administration for the mice. And then the juice was given to the mice orally with the dose of 0,777 mg quercetin of every 20 kg mice. Then Trypan Blue solution was injected intravenously forty minutes after oral administration then thirty minutes later, acetic acid was injected intraperitoneally. The solution of intraperitoneal cavity was collected, then the absorbance was read at 583 nm. From the Anova One Way method shown that the computed F (15.508) was bigger than the tabled F (2.69) and then significant differences were subsequently examined by HSD method. From the research, the ruby guava have the effect of decreasing mice vascular permeability about 27.62 %, sweet guava have the effect of decreasing mice vascular permeability about 39.56 %, and bangkok guava have the effect of decreasing mice vascular permeability about 34.96 %. So it can be conclude that, the sweet guava have the bigger effect of decreasing mice vascular permeability than the other two guava.
