  4. Each instrument is unique – it is foreseen that fire and explosion protection have to be adjusted to the actual circumstances

  5. Automatic water suppression inside the instrument cave Metallic heads (or Cage protection)

  6. Sprinkler water supply is prepared for in the instrument halls

  13. Polyethylene shielding – fire rated cladding to protect ignition from external source

  14. Explosion safety Keep flammables outside the cave ? HYDROGEN

  15. Explosion safety Example on hydrogen bottle Exhaust pipe 200 bar = 16 mradius • Zone 1: 0.5 maround connection valve • Zone 2: 1.5 m outside zone 1. If the space has a floor area of less than 8 m2, zone 2 is extended to include the entire compartment.
