  3. HEALTH DEPARTMENT • Permits from SSA can now be obtained at the VU. • Before this permits needed to be obtained in Mexico City or Mexicali. • Examples: • Import Sanitary Permit (5 days) • Import Sanitary Notice (immediate) Publication Nov. 16. *Important for medical Immex

  4. TARIFF & PROSEC MODIFICATION • The modification to the Tariff includes the creation of new HTS#. Example: • 8541.40.03 Ensambles en modulos o paneles de celulasfotovoltaicas. Ex. • The PROSEC Decree had to be modified based on the reduction on duties in the Tariff. It had duties grater or same as the Tariff and there was no justification to maintain them. November 23 & 29 *Review HTS and duty application

  5. SECRETARY OF ECONOMY RULES • Modification 12/31/12, in effect 01/01/13. • Rule 1.3.8 (New). Resolutions to physical applications from SE must be electronically signed by the person who issues it. (FIEL) • Rule 2.2.18 (New) Import-Export Permits can be suspended if: False docs where presented, info is not presented, used for a different purpose, if address is not found.
