  1. Overview Summer Seminar • Dates: 1 Dec 10- 28 Feb 11 • Selection: Junior Year • Importance/Cost: Travel & $350 • Fee can be waived for low income applicants

Key Dates • Applications wereaccepted from the opening date of 1 December 2010 through the deadline date of 28 February 2011. • For 2012, application will open 15 Nov and close 31 Jan • SUMMER SEMINAR DATES • * Session "A" 31 May - 4 June, 2011 • * Session "B" 6 - 10 June, 2011 • * Session "C" 13 - 17 June, 2011

  3. Selection • Students are evaluated and selected on a "whole person concept;" academics, athletics, leadership experience and extra-curricular activities. Selections are made throughout the application period. • Final regular selections are completeapproximately one week after the application deadline • Backfills for people who decline are taken from the “waitlist” students, and continue through mid-April.

  4. Importance/Cost • Importance: Statistically 40% Summer Seminar Students earn appointments. (Correlation vs causation) • Cost: If you are selected, you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to and from Colorado Springs, CO. • The registration fee is $350.00. This fee pays for your room and all meals, as well as workshop supplies. The fee can be waived for low income students. Some years we can provide limited assistance with travel costs to a small number of applicants.
