Welcome to K-2. Kindergarten Orientation Please help your child: Find his/her desk. Make a self portrait. Find his/her cubby and place the finished portrait there to dry. Take a family portrait at the picture station. Parent presentation will begin at 9:30. Children will go outside

  1. Welcome to K-2 Kindergarten Orientation Please help your child: Find his/her desk. Make a self portrait. Find his/her cubby and place the finished portrait there to dry. Take a family portrait at the picture station. Parent presentation will begin at 9:30. Children will go outside for supervised playtime during the parent presentation.

  3. Schedule • Morning Schedule 8:00am to 11:20am Classroom open for drop-off at 7:50am • Afternoon Schedule 11:25am to 2:45pm Playground gate open for drop-off at 11:15

  4. Drop-off and Pick-up • AM Drop-off: Park and walk your child to the classroom door. • No more than 10 minutes early • Say good-bye at the door  • AM Pick-up: Park and pick your child up at the gates near the MPR. • Please be on-time! • After 10 minutes, children will be walked to the office  Note: Plans may change on inclement weather days.

  6. Where can I park? • Best to walk to school • Legal Parking • Banyan Ave • West side of Bluegrass (south of the drive-way) • Day Creek Park

  7. Please do not park… • Anywhere along the east drop-off curb. • On the east side of Blue Grass • On the west side of Blue Grass north of the drive-way • In the parking lot

  8. Communication • Absences: Please notify the school attendance line. • Early pick-up: Must sign your child out in the office. • Teacher: • Send a note • E-mail • angie_adez@etiwanda.org • Cannot take phone calls during the school day. • Register for NewsFlash

  9. Supplies • Suggested supply list • All items are for general classroom use (except folders, lunch pails, and backpacks) • Please do not label items with individual student names

  10. Snack Recess • 20 minutes for snack and playtime • Please pack healthy food items • Children should be able to open items independently • No toys please!

  11. Allergies? Health Problems? • Please notify your child’s teacher of any food allergies • We do many cooking activities in kindergarten • Medication forms available in the office

  12. Appropriate Clothing • Comfortable for movement activities. • Suitable for art and painting. • Safe shoes for running and playing. • No open toes • Please label all items on the outside!
