NSSE Survey Results • 1/5 students frequently comes to class not having read or done homework • Forty percent of first-years never discuss ideas from readings or class with faculty outside of class • 75-79% first-years expect to be involved • 25% of seniors to attend graduate school • Of this 25%, half believe their undergraduate education prepared them grad school • 55% of seniors plan on working full-time • 6% plan to work/volunteer • 2% plan on pursuing military careers • 47% of seniors report feeling prepared for the world • 59% of seniors report internship/practicum experience

CIRP Survey Results • Average student graduating in 2008 was ~$23,000 in debt. • 53.3% of first-years are relying on student loans to fund their education • 49% are seeking student employment to pay for college • Cost of college is a very important for first years (41.6%) • -Reason for attending college – tied to getting a good job (56.5%)
