  4. Why is this festival celebrated? • 2000 years ago the Jews defeated an army. • They cleaned the temple in Jerusalem and lit the menorah to celebrate. • They only had oil for 1 day but it lasted for 8 days . • Hanukkah remembers this miracle .

  5. How is Hanukkahcelebrated? • Hanukkah is celebrated by lighting a menorah, singing songs, praying and exchanging cards and gifts.

  6. When is Hanukkahcelebrated? • Hanukkah is celebrated in the Jewish month of Kislev which falls in November or December depending on the sun.
